Virgin Voyage New Fare Types

The new fare structure is designed to give you more choice, transparency, and flexibility when booking.

But don’t worry — the onboard experience you love hasn’t changed!

Virgin Voyages is still all about their adult-by-design ships with always included luxuries:

  • 20+ eateries
  • Fitness classes
  • Award‑winning entertainment
  • Wi‑Fi
  • No tipping culture onboard

What’s New (TL;DR)

Sea Terraces, Sea View, and Insiders will now have three fare options (similar to how airlines offer luggage, seat assignment, allowed changes, etc):

  • Base: Lower non‑refundable rate with Basic Wi‑Fi, dining bookings 15 days out, cabin selection possible but not guaranteed, no changes permitted (no names, itinerary, and date changes).
  • Essential: The standard experience you know today with Classic Wi‑Fi and dining now 60 days out. The Lead Sailor on the booking cannot be changed; names of the other Sailor can.
  • Premium: Added perks—Premium Wi‑Fi, dining reservation 60 days out, flexible name changes for all Sailors, and a $15 per sailor per day bar tab included

🎸 RockStars & Mega RockStars maintain existing structure, with some enhancements.

  • RockStars and Mega RockStars can book dining reservation open 120 days out
  • Mega RockStars now get the Work From Home Wi-Fi (10x faster than Basic, 2 devices per Sailor).

đź”’ Lock it In Rates remain the same, except dining reservation will open 15 days out (along with the Base fare).

Finally, more gratuity transparency (no onboard tipping)

Today, 100% of the gratuities already goes to the Crew. But because gratuities are bundled in the Voyage fare, you don’t know how much you’re contributing. For the sake of transparency, Virgin Voyages will show gratuities a separate line item.

Rest assured, there are still no tipping prompts onboard! Your gratuities will be covered ahead of time, they’ll just be separated from the total cruise price. You’ll also have the choice to pre-pay gratuities or pay onboard with a premium.

What happens if you already booked a cruise?

Virgin Voyages will protect existing bookings. All voyages confirmed before October 7, 2025 will keep their original terms and inclusions. Plus, they’re getting a perk: a 60‑day advance dining window for Sea Terrace categories and 120-day window for RockStars.

There’s no action needed on your part; these enhancements will roll-out automatically.

My Next Virgin Voyage (Pay attention if you have one)

If a My Next Virgin Voyage (MNVV) placeholder is converted before October 7, it keeps legacy terms and Sea Terraces get dining upgraded to new Premium 60‑day dining window, and RockStars get the 120-day window boost.

If you convert a MNVV to a booking on or after Oct 7, the new fare’s rules apply to that converted reservation(e.g., Base/Essential/Premium terms).

🚨 So if you have a My Next Virgin Voyage (MNNV), you may want to consider booking your cruise before October 7 to lock in you the current fare and get the 60-/120-day dining boost
