What is a Bar Tab on Virgin Voyages?

Virgin Voyages does not have a drink package. Instead, they priced their drinks fairly and give you a bonus when you pre-pay for drinks by purchasing a Bar Tab. A Bar Tab is onboard credit that you can use to buy drinks during your cruise. The Bar Tab is good for any non-essential drinks like alcoholic beverages, mocktails, specialty coffees, smoothies, pressed juices, and energy drinks. Essential drinks like water, sodas and drip coffee are included in your cruise price.

Does Virgin have an unlimited drink package?

No. Virgin Voyages tested an unlimited drink package but did not implement it due to Sailors feedback. The Bar Tab is more flexible since it can be shared and does not require all guests to have it. With the Bar Tab, Virgin Voyages can also provide better service and drink quality and reduce waste.

What’s the difference between Bar Tab and Sailor Loot?

Sailor Loot is onboard credit you can use for any purchase onboard Virgin Voyages ships and the Beach Club at Bimini. Bar Tab is a special type of Sailor Loot that can only be used to buy drinks. Bar Tab is only available as promotional credit or for purchase before the cruise with a 25% bonus to spend.
